6 The sons of Zerah were Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Kalkol, and Dara,[a] five
of them in all.
7 The son of Carmi was Achar,[b] the troubler of Israel, who was unfaithful when he stole things that had been devoted to destruction.
8 The son of Ethan was Azariah.

- 1 Chronicles 2:7 Achar, which means troubler, is a derogatory name for Achan, who stole from the goods of Jericho that had been devoted to destruction (Joshua 7). A few Hebrew manuscripts read Achan.
